Baptism
Infant Baptism is normally celebrated within the first few weeks after birth. Parents should contact the Parish Office to make arrangements to Celebrate the Baptism. Baptism can be celebrated during any of the weekend Liturgies or after the 11AM Mass. Normally Baptisms are not done during the Lenten Season. Attendance at a baptism class is required if this is your first child, new to the parish or if it has been five years since the birth of your last child. Godparents are required, one has to be practicing Catholic. If they don't belong to Blessed Sacrament they need to obtain a Sponsor Certificate from the parish where they belong. It is recommended that parents attend the Baptismal Class before they ask their Godparents. If families are returning to Blessed Sacrament from out of town, they must be a member of a parish where they currently live and have their parish where they belong write a letter of permission.
